Sandy Meadow – Dartmoor
Building an "off grid idyle" in the heart of a national park
As a family, we embarked on creating our forever home in the heart of Dartmoor. We knew this would be a journey that, once complete, would deliver our dream of living sustainably in the heart of Devon. In selecting our construction partner, I knew we needed a team who both shared our vision for our home and understood the importance of off-grid, sustainable living. Thankfully, we found Dan Cook Carpentry and Building Ltd.
Dan, George and the team did the dream build for us. The workmanship, quality of materials, and attention to detail were all excellent.
The programme of works flowed seamlessly. Most importantly of all, the communication was outstanding. Friendly and professional, and you could tell they really cared about making it the best house. Nothing was too much trouble; everyone worked so hard and always had time for one more little change.
You hear about people having terribly stressful house builds, but ours couldn’t have been better- dream team.
